WATER PLAN ADMINISTRATION
The Purpose of Kanabec County's Comprehensive Local Water Plan is:
- To Identify existing and potential problems or opportunities for the protection, management, and development of water resources and related land resources in Kanabec County and the Snake River Watershed.
- To develop and implement an action plan to promote sound water management decisions, and
- To achieve effective environmental protection of Kanabec County's water and land resources.
Kanabec County Environmental Services administers the Water Plan for the county.
County Water Plan Counties within the State of Minnesota with approved water plans are eligible for funding through grants and loans.
