Notary Public

How to Become a Notary Public

For more information on becoming a notary, visit the Office of the Secretary of State’s website.

You must record your commission in the county of your residence, in person. The fee for recording
your commission at the county is $20. We accept cash, check or credit. Failure to register
with your resident county may result in a civil penalty fee (usually larger than the county recording fee).
